The Emotional Body
Beloved Soul Family,
Today, I feel called to share with you how emotions become stuck, and how to release them.
Did you know that emotions can get trapped and stuck in the body?
In the moment when we feel an emotion such as hurt, fear, or shame, we have a choice:
We can resist the emotion, which causes our body to contract and our breath to shorten — and the emotion we are feeling becomes locked in the body.
Or we can express the feeling in a healthy way, such as speaking it, feeling it, processing it, or embracing the feeling with love.
Oftentimes, this choice is automatic. Can you imagine feeling fear, anger, or grief over a lifetime, and not feeling safe to express it and how much emotional energy we accumulate every single day without expressing ourselves?
Re-writing this pattern and creating a new neural pathway can take time.
Using our sacred intention, we can train our hearts, minds, and bodies to automatically express our emotions in a healthy way so that they don't become stuck in the body.
Beloved, this pattern can shift in ALL of us. Here's how.
Every time you feel an emotion within you — when an emotion is "triggered" — it is your body's way of saying, "This is the emotion I am ready to release in this moment."
We work on releasing stuck emotions from the body one at a time, and your emotions will guide you. It is deeply empowering and liberating to see your triggers and emotions as allies, guiding you on your path of healing.
Each time an emotion arises, you can lovingly bring your awareness to your breath. You can ask yourself, "What triggered me and what emotion do I feel?"
Then, you can choose to express it, feel it, and release it through taking deep, intentional breaths into the parts of the body where you feel constriction.
Some emotional releases are small, and some are big.
There is Divine timing in each.
